About this deal

In true Elsie slow burn fashion, there was pining and SO MUCH LONGING. It was delicious and tortuous. I loved the scenes at the ranch and with Harvey. And all the cameos at Gold Rush Ranch. Let me start off by saying I'm not really a friends to lovers girly. This trope has always been meh to me. Like I don't gravitate to it but I will read it from select authors. But after Heartless, I knew that Elsie can write a grocery list and I'll read it. And you know what? I think I've changed my mind on the friends to lovers trope. Because this book? It was EVERYTHING. Willa might be a bit of a psycho—after all, she did just push a child into the pool—but the more time I spend with her, the more I feel like she’s my psycho. Jasper and Sloane have known each other since they were kids. Sloane is a cousin to the Eaton’s, and Jasper is an honorary Eaton. Sloane has always had it bad for Jasper but with Jasper being older than her, as well as Sloane being related to the Eaton’s, nothing ever happens between them. Until Sloane is about to get married. Then everything changes. Cade and Willa's story is best described by Summer as follows: "It's two people who were both a little lost until they ended up on the same path and walked together for a while."

Elsie Silver NEEDS to write a bonus scenes of how Willa managed to convinced Cade to go along with her plan to help Sloane get away from her own wedding.. look at him that poor man was probably held at gunpoint by his wife 😭🤚 You'll always have a place here. A home here. I'll make you coffee every morning. I'll leave you all the Post-its you want. I'll cook your dinner every night. I'll eat your pussy in the hot tub before bed every damn night." Every once in a while, there's a book that reminds you why you read romance. It's about more than just being single, and trying to believe love is a real thing that may happen to me. It was 1 am in the morning and I was sweating. Sweat drops running down my spine and my forehead from how legitimately stressed and turned on I was. Now, I do gotta say that at the end, there was a trope that I normally really dislike in books… but it just worked so well in this story and with Willa and Cade’s relationship that I surprisingly did not mind it at all!! It somehow made me love their relationship even more because of how strong and unconditional their love for one another is! Let’s just say that this book is a masterpiece. This book was everything. It was swoony, heartfelt, heart breaking, heart warming, and with enough steam to set your kindle on fire. These two were incendiary together and I couldn't get enough. Their friendship, their bond, their love for each other was almost as amazing as their chemistry. You heard me.” Her lips don’t even twitch. She’s not joking at all. “Beg.” My cheeks heat against my will. My heart thunders in my chest. She’s got me so on my heels it’s not even funny. This couple was everything! The tenderness, the longing, the consuming chemistry. Elsie effortlessly builds the bond between friends and lovers: fearful hesitation and soulmate connection perfectly side by side. I fell so in love with both of them, both trying to free themselves from perceptions of themselves, to choose their own needs and paths, to find the courage to build the life they want and deserve. It’s a small world, but Ruby Creek is even smaller. When I move to the tiny town, the grumpy facade I’ve created slips when we’re forced to live under the same roof.

Cade and Willa’s banter had me smiling like a fool. They had the perfect grumpy-sunshine dynamic where it was way too easy for Willa to rile Cade up. Their text exchanges were some of my favorite moments. The only scenes that got me through this book were the Willa x Cade scenes and Winter x Theo first meeting. So when my life falls apart on my wedding day, it only makes sense that he’s the one to swoop in and save me. And when his world comes crashing down around him, I’m there to return the favour. But I don’t need a goddamn babysitter, especially one with skin-tight jeans, a sexy smirk, and a mouth she can’t stop running. The timing clearly wasn’t in their favor, Up until Sloan wanted to pull the bride’s runaway act. All in all, their relationship was well done with a lot of words of affirmation after so looong. I loved how Jasper reboosted Sloan’s confidence so she could putt a stop to how her father and ex fiancé were treating her.Keeping things professional with my employees has never been an issue. Until she waltzed onto my property. Willa is 25. She should be out partying with her friends and having fun, but that's not who she is. She's sassy, but vulnerable. She knows what she wants, but sometimes insecure. She doesn't take herself seriously, and sometimes is unable to see the wonderful person she is. Because she is pretty much amazing. She's not sure where her life is headed, until one summer changes everything. Users who reposted Powerless by Elsie Silver, read by Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom (Audiobook extract) Two childhood friends. Two broken hearts. One impromptu road trip to get away from everything. That’s all this was supposed to be. Afterall, I’ve been living in the friend zone for years now.

It all started with their sweet little 'nothing just friends' friendship. They had this honesty thing which was really endearing and to see how they both just stay and listen to each other's truth and pain without any judgement, except that honesty never worked when they had to talk about their feelings. I teared up, I was turned-on, I screamed, screeched like a teenager... I completely lost my shit over Heartless and you will too. Mark my words. You’re the least scary thing in my life. You’re not just tattooed on my skin. You’re branded on my heart. Woven into the fiber of my being. The most constant and reassuring person in my life. When I close my eyes, I see you. When you’re away from me, I dream about you. When I need someone to lean on, you are always there for me. God. You’ve loved me when I haven’t even been able to love myself.”My brain is begging for sleep. But Cade and Willa and Luke… the cuteness, the wholesomeness of this story was uncalled for. 😪 Their meet-cute is different. When they see each other again, Willa is being talked into being Luke's nanny for the next couple of months. Cade certainly doesn't like it, because she always speaks her mind and it will be hard to control her. Willa is not sure, but she likes a challenge, so she takes the job. The unrequited love/longing really made up for it though. Jasper has a MOUTH and he did not disappoint. I’m beyond excited for Winter and Theo!!!
